Khwan is a nomadic breathwork practice based in Bangkok, Thailand.

A time and a place to pause, witness our mind and bodily sensations before stepping back out into the world.

KHWAN BREATHWORK

A person performing a meditative yoga pose with their hand resting on their knee, fingers in a mudra, against a dark curtain background.

Let your breath guide your way back to balance.

This practice is for people seeking a way to manage underlying stress, and to better handle life’s curveballs.

Everyone is welcome here: exhausted overachievers struggling to slow down, injured athletes missing their favorite practice, sleepless city dwellers looking for a way for their minds to hit pause.

Or perhaps something just feels off?

WHAT IS BREATHWORK?

By deliberately connecting with our breath, we may shift tension and imbalance held by the body and the mind.

The breath is a system that operates in our bodies in both an automatic and voluntary way. Through breathwork, we witness how the breath runs without us actively engaging with it, and also how it may respond to external and internal triggers. By practicing techniques, from pranayama and conscious connected breath, we shift our breathing patterns and, in turn, connect with our nervous system.

By giving our full attention to life through the breath, before rushing to fix what isn’t working, we may find our way back to a stable place from which to respond.

Breathwork feels different for everyone. Some people experience a release, others find clarity. Some notice changes as the session closes, others observe the shift later on.

There is nothing to get right. All you have to do is show up and notice.

During a breathwork session in Bangkok with Khwan Breathwork, we will place our hands on our abdomen to help us feel the breath.
